Technicals and Defaults
We have been getting a lot of questions and here is the policy for technical fouls and defaults:
1. Any technical foul assessed by a referee results in an immediate suspension of that player for the remainder of the half. Any player accumulating 2 technical fouls in a game is ejected from the game and earns a suspension for the next game. If a player accumulates 3 technical fouls over the course of the season he will earn a suspension for the game following the 3rd technical foul. Team Reps will be notified of suspensions.
2. In order to avoid a default, teams must let the administrator, Harold Shutiak (373-2618 or email, shutiak@sasktel.net) know that they cannot field a team a minimum of one week before the scheduled game time. Rescheduling games is a possibility but it is not guaranteed especially as the season progresses.The first default is a penalty of $150 (default cheque will be cashed) and a default email is sent to the Team Rep. Two defaults will result in the offending team being removed from the league
3. A team with 4 players at the start of a game may play shorthanded until the end of the first quarter. The referee will call the game at the end of the quarter if the team cannot field 5 players. The game will be recorded as a 20-0 win by the opposing team.
